Sweet Kate! I am truly so lucky!
Playing in the Sandbox.
Swimming in the Sandbox.
Kate with a broken leg (In Ali's Boot).
Kate helping Mama bake a cake. Ali put makeup on her. What a beauty!

I had to work today. I really don't mind working the 4th since most everything happens after dark. Where I work though, it has a great view of what happens day and night. At 6:30 a.m. we got to see the Hot Air Balloons take off out of the window. My coworkers, Mary, Lynda, Alene, Carolyn, and I got to watch. These I took with my camera phone. Then we got to see the big held balloons for the parade from a distance. (Madeline and Paddington Bear). While the real parade watchers got wet in the rain, we stayed dry. Then, for those that work at night, they get to see the Stadium of Fire out of Nursery B's windows. Seems like all the parents are there around 10 p.m. While I worked, mom took Kate to have ice cream as all should on the 4th of July!
Aunt Cindy (my friend from Iowa) (No not "from Iowa" but lives in Iowa:) )sent Kate her cute outfit. (Thanks Cindy! and Happy Birthday to you!!!)
When I got home, Kathy called and said she was having a last minute barbeque. So, to Kathy's we went. Susan is officially supposed to have the 4th of July party but no... she had to go to California to be on a T.V. Show! (Details to follow later. Just keep open the 28th of September)
It was nice. This is Kate and Krizten in the box.
The men watched Kate and Zella outside and the ladies all talked in the kitchen. We laughed and talked and talked and laughed. It was fun till we realized it was after 9:30 and we had not put the burgers on the barby yet. So... out we went. Tyler and Aaron were making a great bonfire.
But, Dad had had it so as soon as dinner was over, we headed home. We missed Byron's ship song which is the best in the world! We watched the town fireworks from the car parked on the side of the road.

Kate thought they were cool. Then home to put Kate to bed! Thanks to all the soldiers out there, we are the Home of the Free because of the Brave! We are so lucky to live where we do!
Today, not only did Kate get her bath (it's a Hat!!)
but Sasha got hers.
She also lost her fur and the mats that were with it. It is late in the year to rid her of her fur but it is getting hotter and it was just too long. I love it when it is short and she loves it too. She plays and runs. The only bad part is the sunscreen till it is a little longer.
My Uncle Gary was in town for the fly in at the Heber Airport and to visit with Dad. We all went together to dinner. Poor restaurant!! There were 20 of us in all Mom, Dad, Kathy, Byron, Jen, Krizten, Shannon, Chase, Aaron, Chelsea, Zella,
Tyler, Amy, Susan, Bill, Ali, Kate, Gary, Ben, and me. It was crazy. The Chinese place was good to give us our own room!
